  Crow Block Print  I love the cocky attitude of this crow and his upright stance. The more I watch crows and ravens, the more I admire them.

  Raven Turning  This oil painting on canvas is 36" x 36". I tried two new techniques on this canvas. I used blue in the highlight areas and I also varnished the raven when he was dry so that his body contrasts with the background.

Ravens are generally larger than crows and have a distinctive ruff of feathers on their necks. Ravens tend to be loners or to hang around with one other ravens. Crows tend to live in community. Something about this raven suggests his solitude.
